As an open air preacher, servant, father, and husband, my mission is to make Christ known to a world that doesn’t know Him and to edify the body of believers. It is a calling that I hold dear to my heart, and one that I am passionate about fulfilling.
When I step out into the open air, whether it’s on a bustling street corner or in a quiet park, I am filled with a sense of purpose. I am driven by the desire to share the love and hope that I have found in Christ with those who have yet to experience it.
My approach as an open air preacher is about teaching the goodness and severity of the Lord and not simply the goodness of the Lord or just the severity but both of them that many may see the full picture. (Romans 11:22) I strive to communicate the message of God’s grace, forgiveness, and redemption as well as His anger, wrath and judgement that people may see the whole picture and walk in the fear and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4) I want to meet people where they are, regardless of their background or beliefs, and show them that there is a God who they will meet one day and who loves them but is perfect in Judgement and desires for them to repent before His justice must execute judgement. His desire for all of us is salvation and life more abundantly but for that to be possible we must deny ourselves pick up our crosses and follow Christ, which is the call I extend to all men, that by all means, some may be saved. (2 Peter 3:9, John 10:10, Matthew 16:24, 1 Corinthians 9:22)
Being a servant is at the core of my identity. I believe that true leadership is found in serving others, just as Jesus demonstrated during His time on earth. Whether it’s through acts of kindness, lending a listening ear, or simply being present for someone in need, I aim to reflect the servant-hearted nature of Christ.
But my role as a servant extends beyond the streets. At home, I am a father and a husband, and I strive to be a living example of Christ’s love within my family. I understand the responsibility I have to nurture and guide my children in their journey with Christ, and to support and cherish my wife as we navigate life together.
While my primary focus is on reaching those who do not know Christ, I also recognize the importance of edifying the body of believers. This means encouraging and strengthening fellow Christians in their faith, helping them grow in their relationship with God, and equipping them with truth so that they may be able to share the message of Christ with others.
Through it all, my motivation remains rooted in the belief that every person has the potential to encounter God’s transformative love. It is my prayer that through my words, actions, and interactions, I can be a vessel through which others can come to know and experience the life-changing power of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
So, as I continue on this journey as an open air preacher, servant, father, and husband, I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul: “I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22). It is with this mindset that I strive to make Christ known and edify the body of believers, one person at a time.
